Cruised over here from the Dilbert Blog, and found some commonalities.
I'm also an Oracle DBA, SQLserver also, but only when I must. I once did Oracle Apps for a about six months and ran away screaming. Can you say "patch whore"? Now I just do production support.
I also love Goldens, and have read just about all Jon Katz's dog books ("A Dog Year").
I will be checking back here occasionally.
